Christmas 2006

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. Ethan and I went back to Indiana on December 6th for a whole month. The flight was very nice. The flight was so empty and everyone seem to have a whole row of seats to themselves. I had 3 seats. Ethan and I slept most of the flight. The 1st week and half home was rough. Ethan wasn't sleeping well at night and I was only getting 3 hrs of sleep. I had a feeling something was wrong. I went to Columbus a week after being home to visit my friends and so I decided to take Ethan to his doctor in Columbus. Good thing I did because he had a double ear infection. Ethan's only symtom of an ear infection is not sleeping well so I had to give it a few days to make sure it wasn't the time adjustment and it wasn't. Once Ethan got some medicine we both got more sleep and mommy was happy. Randy came home on the 22nd for 2 weeks. His flight wasn't so much fun. His seat was in front of the restroom so he couldn't lay his sleep back to rest and then the lady beside him threw up most of the flight. Then once he got to Chicago he had to go through customs and had to recheck his bags and it was so busy that he just had to leave them and hoped they would arrive in Indy. When I picked him up he said he didn't think his luggage made it. It didn't. They arrived at my parents house the next day by noon so that wasn't so bad. It was nice being home for Christmas. The grandparents had such a blast with
him. I think Ethan enjoyed Christmas a little more this year. He seemed to want to open one gift and play with that. I had to open most of the gifts for him. I am sure next year will be even more fun. I think Ethan's favorite gift was his chopper bike that he got
from Randy's parents. Ethan knows the word Harley very well and knows what one looks like. So he had to go to the garage to visit the harley's. Even though his isn't a harley he says my bike. Randy took him for a little ride on it. I rode it to. Its fun but Ethan is going to have to wait to ride it for a long time. But mommy will enjoy riding it until then. Randy and I went to Columbus for 2 days to deal with some
stuff with our house. We got to pick out our floor colors and wall colors.
It was fun and stressful too. We are hoping it will all look ok. We are not very good with colors. They began building our house this week. It should be done around Memorial Day. We wish we were home
to see it being built but we have some friends of ours taking pics and checking up on it for us. As soon as I get pics I will post them.Ethan got to do some fun activities while we were home. I took him to the children't museum and he had a blast. There wasn't anything that he couldn't play with. I think he liked playing in the water table.

We also took him to Chucky Cheese even though I think he was still to little for it but he seemed to have fun. He wanted to play any games that involved a ball.

Our time at home went way to fast and it was time to head back to Japan. The flight home was very packed and there were many kids on the flight. Which was good because usually Ethan is the only kid on the plane. Ethan had a rough time. We couldn't get him to eat the whole plane ride. We had a rough landing. The wind was bad when they tried to land and had to miss the runway the first time they tired to land. Ethan got sick when the plane was trying to land. We landed on the 2nd try but it was a very hard landing. We have 3 1/2 months left in Japan. I don't think we will going on anymore big trips. I know we want to take Ethan back to Disneyland on his 2nd birthday. We will enjoy the rest of the our time here and we look forward to coming home.
